Scientific Partners

DEPsys is working with renowned research institutions on the development of smart grids.

EPFL is Europe’s most cosmopolitan technical university. It welcomes students, professors and staff of over 120 nationalities. With both a Swiss and an international mission, it is therefore guided by a constant wish to open up; its missions of teaching, research and partnership impact various circles: universities and engineering schools, developing and emerging countries, secondary schools and gymnasiums, industry and economy, political circles and the general public.

The School of Business and Engineering Vaud (HEIG-VD) offers bachelor and master HES courses in engineering and business as well as postgraduate programmes.

It is the largest partner in the University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland with over 2000 students. Its 12 institutes dedicated to Applied Research & Development, are managed and evaluated by the Centre for Studies and Technology Transfer (fr.: Centre d’Etudes et de Transferts Technologiques, CETT).

Support Organizations

Several organizations support DEPsys in its company development.

FIT – the Foundation for Technological Innovation – has been helping startups since 1994.
FIT aims to support high technology and innovative projects by providing appropriate financial assistance.
Project objectives:

  • Optimize the chances of technical and economic feasibility
  • Concentrate on the creation and development of new businesses
  • Collaborate with leading Swiss higher education institutions (EPF, universities, HES)

Encourage innovative businesses to contribute to the economic dynamic of a region. With this in mind, the State of Vaud and the business and science community of the Canton launched Innovaud in 2013.

As a non-profit organization, Innovaud has the mission to support the developers of innovative projects in the realization of their potential. For this purpose it can take advantage of the following tools: the expertise of its innovation consultants and an extensive network of innovation actors to which it provides access.

The Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) is the country’s competence centre for issues relating to energy supply and energy use at the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC).
